Welcome to FameData. By accessing or using our website, APIs, data services, or any related tools (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
1. Accounts
When you create an account with FameData, you represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password.
You agree to accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you. FameData reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.
2. User-Generated Content
Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, data, or other materials (“Content”).
2.1 Wiki / Knowledge Graph Data
By contributing factual data to the FameData Knowledge Graph (including items, properties, statements, and structured facts), you agree that this content is dedicated to the public domain under CC0 or a compatible open license. This ensures the data remains freely reusable for public benefit.
You acknowledge that factual contributions may be reused, modified, and redistributed by anyone without restriction.
2.2 Social Posts and Original Content
For original creative content such as social posts, comments, or media uploads, you retain ownership. However, by posting such content on FameData, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, display, distribute, and promote that content as part of our Service.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Submitting false, misleading, or deliberately harmful information to the Knowledge Graph
- Vandalism, spam, or coordinated manipulation of data
- Posting hate speech, abusive content, or unlawful material
- Attempting to compromise, disrupt, or overload our servers or infrastructure
- Bypassing security mechanisms or access controls
FameData reserves the right to remove content and restrict access at its sole discretion.
4. Automated Access & AI Data Licensing
FameData provides high-quality, structured, and curated data. To protect the integrity of our network and the contributions of our users, the following rules apply to automated access:
4.1 AI Training & Scraping
Any automated access, crawling, or scraping of FameData for the purpose of training Large Language Models (LLMs), artificial intelligence systems, or commercial data aggregation is strictly prohibited without a valid Data Licensing Agreement.
4.2 Implied Agreement
By bypassing robots.txt, rate limits, or technical restrictions and crawling FameData for AI-related or commercial purposes, you agree to be bound by our standard usage-based licensing fee of:
$0.01 per entity or item crawled
4.3 Enforcement
Usage is monitored and logged by our proprietary AI Guardian system. Organizations found in violation of these Terms may be invoiced based on recorded usage, and repeated violations may result in legal action.
5. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and restrict access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
6. Disclaimer of Warranty
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. FameData makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the Knowledge Graph or any other data.
All data is user-generated and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You use the Service at your own risk.
7. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Changes will become effective upon posting on this page.
By continuing to use the Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms.
